How do we determine the condition of textbooks?
We grade the condition of textbooks based on the amount of wear or damage and assign the following conditions: Light, Medium, Heavy, and Unusable.
Think of it like a pair of sneakers:
Light wear
Your shoes have been taken out of the box and worn, but still look pristine.
Medium wear
You’ve worn your shoes awhile and have a few scuffs, but they’re still comfortable and you’re happy to keep wearing them after a good cleaning.
Heavy wear
Your shoes have seen better days and have signs of wear and tear but the soles are intact and someone can still get use out of them. You would probably donate them.
Unusable
Your shoes have reached the end of their life. The soles are worn out and there are holes in the toes. They aren’t wearable for anyone and it’s time to toss them in the trash. As the name suggests, we do not buy unusable books.
